About This Refund Policy

Midad Quran Academy provides live one-to-one online Quran and Islamic learning services. In this policy, “Midad”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Midad Quran Academy.

This Refund Policy applies to regular monthly class payments and any other paid Midad service that specifically refers to this policy. It should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, current pricing information, enrolment confirmation, and any written plan details agreed with the parent, guardian, or adult learner.

For refund questions, contact info@midadquranacademy.com or use the Contact page. When contacting us about a payment or refund, please provide enough information for us to identify the payment, such as: payer or parent name; learner name; payment date; amount and currency; transaction reference, where available; short explanation of the request.

Statutory Rights Nothing in this Refund Policy removes or limits a consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.
02

Three Free Trial Classes

Midad offers three free one-to-one trial classes before regular paid enrolment. No payment is required for these trial classes.

  • There is no trial fee to refund.
  • The learner can experience the classes before the family chooses a paid plan. The family can ask questions and discuss the learner’s starting level before enrolling.
  • A regular payment is made only after the family decides to continue and the enrolment details are confirmed.

If Midad receives a payment in error before paid enrolment should begin, contact us so the payment can be checked and corrected.

03

Payments Covered by This Policy

Regular class fees are charged according to the course, weekly routine, session length, currency, and monthly plan confirmed before enrolment. Your enrolment confirmation should identify the plan and amount that apply to you. This Refund Policy applies to:

regular monthly class payments;the first paid month covered by the 30-day satisfaction guarantee;
incorrect or duplicate payments;payments for lessons Midad is unable to provide where a refund or credit becomes appropriate;
any other paid Midad service that specifically states that this Refund Policy applies.

The full pricing structure is provided separately on the Midad Pricing page. Except where the 30-day satisfaction guarantee, applicable consumer law, or another written Midad commitment applies, this policy does not automatically create a refund for a service that has already been properly provided.

04

30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

The first paid month is covered by Midad’s 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If you are dissatisfied after paid enrolment:

  • Contact Midad within the first 30 days of paid enrolment.
  • Explain the concern and provide the relevant learner and payment details.
  • Midad may review the learner’s plan, attendance, lessons delivered, teacher allocation, lesson notes, and relevant communication.

After the request is reviewed, the first paid month is refunded in full under the 30-day satisfaction guarantee. The purpose of the review is to understand the request and confirm the relevant enrolment and payment information. This guarantee does not remove any stronger cancellation or refund right that may apply under consumer law.

Requests After 30 Days A request made after the first 30 days is considered under the other sections of this Refund Policy, any applicable consumer rights, and any other written agreement between Midad and the customer.
05

UK Distance-Selling Cancellation Rights

Where UK consumer law applies and a service contract is entered into online, by telephone, or through another distance-selling method, a statutory cancellation period may apply. For many distance service contracts, the cancellation period is 14 days from the day after the contract is made.

During an applicable cancellation period, the customer can normally cancel without giving a reason. Midad will not use its own Refund Policy or Terms and Conditions to remove a cancellation or refund right that UK law requires.

Customers should receive important contract information in a form they can keep, such as email or another format that can be saved or printed.

Important: The exact legal position can depend on the type of contract, when the service starts, whether the customer asked for early performance, and the consumer law that applies.
06

Starting Classes During a Cooling-Off Period

A customer may want paid classes to begin before an applicable cancellation period has ended.

  • Where UK law requires it, Midad must obtain the customer’s express request before beginning the paid service during that period.
  • If the customer later uses a legal cancellation right after requested classes have already started, the customer may be responsible for a proportionate amount for the service already supplied where the law allows this.
  • If the paid service has not started, a qualifying statutory cancellation will normally result in the applicable payment being refunded.
  • Where a service is fully performed during a statutory cancellation period, the cancellation right may end only where the legal requirements for starting and completing that service during the period have been met.
07

Ending Future Monthly Payments

A parent, guardian, or adult learner may ask Midad to end regular classes and stop future monthly payments. You can make this request through: the Midad Contact page; or info@midadquranacademy.com.

Ending future classes does not automatically mean that payments for lessons already provided will be refunded. Any refund relating to the current paid period will depend on:

  • the 30-day satisfaction guarantee;
  • applicable consumer cancellation rights;
  • whether the agreed service was provided;
  • how much of the paid service has already been delivered; and
  • any refund or account credit agreed by Midad after review.

Midad will confirm when the regular classes are ending and what happens to any future payment instruction connected with the enrolment.

08

Missed Lessons, Lateness, and Rescheduling

A refund is not normally provided only because the learner: joins a lesson late; does not attend; forgets the lesson; is unavailable at the scheduled time; or cannot attend because of a reason on the learner’s side.

Any available rescheduling, make-up lesson, or account credit is handled according to the Terms and Conditions and the schedule agreed with the family. When notice is provided, Midad may consider another available time, but a particular replacement time cannot always be guaranteed.

If a learner joins late, the class will normally still finish at its scheduled time so the following learner’s class is not delayed. Any mandatory consumer right continues to apply.

09

Teacher Absence or Academy Cancellation

If Midad or the assigned teacher cannot provide a scheduled paid lesson, Midad may take one of the following steps:

  • reschedule the lesson with the same teacher;
  • arrange a suitable replacement teacher;
  • provide a make-up lesson; apply an appropriate account credit; or
  • refund the affected lesson where an appropriate replacement cannot reasonably be provided.

A teacher change alone does not automatically create a refund if Midad continues to provide the agreed one-to-one learning service. If you have a concern about a teacher change or the suitability of the replacement arrangement, contact Midad so the situation can be reviewed.

10

Technical Problems and Interrupted Lessons

Online classes depend on a working internet connection, device, electricity supply, audio, video, and class platform.

Midad or Teacher-Side ProblemIf a paid lesson cannot reasonably continue because of a problem on Midad’s side, Midad will review the affected lesson and may provide a reschedule, make-up lesson, account credit, or refund where appropriate.
Learner-Side ProblemA refund is not normally provided for internet, electricity, device, microphone, camera, or access problems on the learner’s side. If the connection is restored during the scheduled lesson, the teacher may continue using the remaining class time where possible.
Wider Service OutageIf a major outage is outside both Midad’s and the learner’s control, Midad will review the situation and determine whether a reschedule, credit, or another reasonable solution is available.
11

Duplicate, Incorrect, or Unauthorised Payments

Contact Midad promptly if you believe a payment: was charged twice; was taken for the wrong amount; was taken after a confirmed cancellation; does not match the agreed enrolment; or was made without proper authority.

Midad may ask for information such as the transaction reference, payment receipt, or relevant payment record so the transaction can be located and checked. A verified duplicate or incorrect charge made by Midad will be corrected and refunded.

If you believe a payment method has been used fraudulently or without permission, you should also contact your bank or payment provider.

12

How to Request a Refund

Submit a refund request through Midad Contact page or email: info@midadquranacademy.com.

Please provide:

  • payer’s name and contact details;
  • learner’s name;
  • selected course or plan;
  • payment date; amount and currency; transaction reference, where available;
  • date regular classes started or stopped;
  • reason for the refund request; and any relevant supporting information.

Midad may review payment records, attendance, lessons delivered, teacher notes, and relevant communication before responding to the request. The outcome will be explained to you in writing.

13

Refund Method and Processing

Where reasonably possible, an approved refund will be returned using the original payment method.

  • If the original payment method cannot be used, Midad may contact the payer to arrange another appropriate and secure refund method.
  • Where consumer law sets a specific deadline for repayment, Midad will follow that required deadline.
  • For other approved refunds, Midad will arrange the refund after the request has been reviewed and approved.
  • After Midad sends or initiates a refund, the bank, card issuer, wallet provider, or payment processor may require additional time before the amount appears in the customer’s account. Exchange-rate differences or separate charges applied by a bank or payment provider are outside Midad’s control unless applicable law requires otherwise.

Refunds will not normally be sent in cash or to an unrelated third party simply because another payment destination is requested.

14

When a Refund Is Not Normally Available

Subject to the 30-day satisfaction guarantee and any mandatory consumer rights, a refund is not normally available only because of:

  • classes that were properly delivered and attended;
  • learner lateness or absence; missed lessons caused by the learner;
  • learner-side internet, electricity, device, or access problems;
  • a change of mind after an applicable cancellation period where the paid service has already been provided;
  • failure to practise or complete agreed learning work; failure to achieve a particular learning result;
  • a preferred teacher or schedule becoming unavailable where Midad continues to provide the agreed service reasonably; or
  • bank fees, exchange-rate changes, or third-party charges that Midad did not receive.

Nothing in this section allows Midad to keep payment for a service it failed to provide where a refund, credit, or another remedy is legally required.

15

Complaints, Chargebacks, and Further Review

If you disagree with a refund decision, reply to the written outcome and explain what you believe should be reviewed again. Where reasonably possible, Midad will arrange a further review by someone who was not responsible for the original decision.

Before opening a payment dispute or chargeback, you may contact Midad so we can check the transaction and try to resolve the issue directly.

You still retain any right you may have to contact your bank, payment provider, court, regulator, consumer-protection body, or another appropriate authority.

16

Policy Changes and Applicable Law

Midad may update this Refund Policy when its services, payment arrangements, operational processes, or legal obligations change. When the policy is updated, the revised version will be published on this page with a new Last updated date.

This Refund Policy does not override mandatory consumer protections that apply to a customer. If a provision of this policy conflicts with a mandatory legal right that applies to the transaction, the mandatory legal right takes priority.

If one part of this policy is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply where legally possible.
